Show and Tell
Although Keynote and PowerPoint presentations are not considered to be art, they have become powerful tools of communication in the modern age. In small settings, they are used to present ideas in visually compelling and engaging ways.
We have included this category to encourage you to create presentations on the issue and campaign of your choosing.
You may find them to be useful when speaking to small groups (i.e. classmates, parents) about why the global issue you’ve adopted is important and how they can support you in making a difference.
Think of them as visual aids that can help you drive home the points that you are trying to make.
The most effective presentations offer visual experiences that words can't fully capture. |
Here’s some advice on creating presentations:
- Be concise – don’t use too many words. Your audience doesn’t have much time to read what’s on screen.
- Make it visual – think of presentations as a visual experience.
- Use interesting transitions and effects.
- Include multimedia (video, music) when appropriate.
- Make a good argument – convince your audience to think or act differently.
- Stay under 20 slides.
You may want to download the images in the Downloads section of your adopted Campaigns as well as other assets you may find useful from their official websites.
For the current pilot phase, chapters may submit as many entries as they would like. |
